Fundamentals of Dementia in the I/DD Population March 2020

Description

For vendors of San Andreas Regional Center only:

Learn the basics of dementia in people with intellectual and developmental disabilities:  different types of dementia, signs and symptoms, and how a diagnosis is made.

Fundamental information on managing behaviors and tips on providing daily care for someone with dementia and a developmental disability.

  • Class time is 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.  DOORS CLOSE AT 9:40!

Must pass the test with an 80% score in order to receive the certificate.  3 CEUs

Bring a pen or pencil.  Okay to bring snack and/or a drink. You may need a sweater or jacket.                          Wear your glasses if you need them!

Maximum of three people per facility/agency to attend any one class in order to leave space for others. Please Bring ticket printout with you, or show us the email on your phone or tablet.

Take elevators to 2nd floor and wait quietly in the elevator lobby until check-in time. No need to sign in at Reception Desk. Let’s stay out of the way of other workers and visitors.

Getting to the office: From Hwy 85 take Great Oaks Blvd south, turn right at San Ignacio, then turn right at first driveway.

Bus line 42 drops you off at San Ignacio and Great Oaks.

Free car parking in the lot around the building.
