SUMMARY:Residential Services Orientation for Residential Care Homes
DESCRIPTION:The Residential Services Orientation (RSO) is required for new residential care facilities administrators and for those interested in developing a residential care facility in Santa Clara\, Santa Cruz\, San Benito and Monterey counties. RSO attendance is also required for staff at a Family Home Agency. \nOnly one person per residential care facility agency may register for the RSO. Family Home Agency providers may register as many staff as needed. \nNo later than Friday\, October 11\, 2019\, those interested in being administrators to an existing residential care home\, or developing a residential care facility are required to send a Letter of Intent to San Andreas Regional Center. (Family Home Agency staff are also required to write a letter of intent by the deadline). The Letter of Intent must include both: \n\n Your experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and also\n Why you would like to develop a residential care facility. The Letter of Intent should be emailed to Steve Osterling at sosterling@sarc.org\n\n  \nPlease remember that to attend the class you need to have registered and also emailed a letter of intent. Both steps are required.  \nA confirmation letter\, RSO schedule\, and directions to San Andreas Regional Center will be sent to you a week before the RSO. No one will be admitted to the RSO without both 1. Eventbrite ticket and 2. a confirmation letter from San Andreas Regional Center. Confirmation letters will not be sent to those residential care facility registrants who have not sent a Letter of Intent prior to Friday\, October 11\, 2019.
