SUMMARY:Assisting with Medications
DESCRIPTION:For service providers of San Andreas Regional Center only.\nAll day class (5 hours\, plus 1/2 hour for lunch break).\nLearn the standard of practice for assisting an individual with self-administration of medications.  Training is based on the DSP (direct support professional) training by DDS.  Introduction to safe practices in Community Care Facilities to help keep people healthy in regards to their medications. \nMust pass the test with an 80% score in order to receive the certificate.   5 CEUs for this class. \nBring a pen or pencil.  Bring your lunch and a drink or cash to purchase snacks from vending machine.  \nYou may need a sweater or jacket.  Wear your glasses if you need them! \nMaximum of three people per facility/agency to attend any one class in order to leave space for others. Please enter information of each person attending when you register! \nClass time is 10:00 am – 3:30 pm. Doors close at 10:10!\nHalf hour lunch break–please bring your own  lunch or cash for snack or drink from vending machine. \nBring ticket printout with you\, or show us the email on your phone or tablet. \nTake elevators to 2nd floor and wait in the lobby until check-in time. DESCRIPTION:Love to teach?  Love to write Care Plans and Training Plans?  Join us! \nThis event is for Registered Nurses (RN ONLY) who are currently working with\, or are interested in working with\, residential care homes and day programs for the developmentally disabled population in the South Bay receiving services from San Andreas Regional Center. \nLearn about the Title 22 Regulations on Restricted Health Conditions\, your role as the RN Consultant\, and how it all works. Hear from nurses who have experience in doing this consultant work\, and see if it is right for you. Meet some of the SARC nurses as well. \nClass time is 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
